October 05.-07. 2026, TU Berlin

The German Rheological Society (DRG) invites researchers from academia and industry to participate in its 75th Anniversary Symposium, hosted by the Department of Polymer Materials and Technologies (PWT) at TU Berlin and is supported by “die junge Rheologie” (djR), a working group within the DRG. Since its founding in 1951, the DRG has played a central role in advancing rheology in Germany and Europe. The anniversary meeting celebrates 75 years of scientific excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary exchange.
Scientific Contributions
The meeting highlights recent progress, emerging trends, and interdisciplinary perspectives in rheology. Contributions are welcome in all areas, including:
- Fundamental and experimental rheology
- Polymer, colloid, suspension, and biological fluid rheology
- Microstructure–property relationships
- Processing and applied rheology
- Computational rheology
- Rheology in sustainability, energy, and advanced materials
Interdisciplinary and industrial case studies are particularly encouraged.

Publishing
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary, we are collaborating with De Gruyter Brill on a peer‑reviewed Special Collection. In this context, there will also be a poster prize endowed with 1,000 €.
The submission for the Joint Special Collection is now open. Contributions may be submitted to either Open Transport (EIC: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Natalie Germann) or Transport Phenomena (EIC: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Alan Jeffrey Giacomin). Open Transport publishes as an open‑access journal (a reduced special rate of €500 applies for this Special Collection), while Transport Phenomena offers free publication under the subscription model (with an optional open‑access upgrade).
Both journals are part of the TEAPOT project and, with a shared editorial team as well as aligned editorial boards, quality standards, and review processes, provide a platform for high‑quality research on transport processes (momentum, heat, and mass transfer) in solids, liquids, and gases.
Further information can be found here: https://sales.degruyterbrill.com/dgbjournals/teapot/
The choice of journal and publication model is entirely up to the authors. The publication offer is fully open and addresses the entire scientific community.
