The German Rheological Society (DRG) invites researchers from academia and industry to participate in its 75th Anniversary Symposium, hosted by the Department of Polymer Materials and Technologies (PWT) at TU Berlin and is supported by “die junge Rheologie” (djR), a working group within the DRG. Since its founding in 1951, the DRG has played a central role in advancing rheology in Germany and Europe. The anniversary meeting celebrates 75 years of scientific excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary exchange.
Scientific Contributions
The meeting highlights recent progress, emerging trends, and interdisciplinary perspectives in rheology. Contributions are welcome in all areas, including:
- Fundamental and experimental rheology
- Polymer, colloid, suspension, and biological fluid rheology
- Microstructure–property relationships
- Processing and applied rheology
- Computational rheology
- Rheology in sustainability, energy, and advanced materials
Interdisciplinary and industrial case studies are particularly encouraged.

The fee includes conference materials, lunches, coffee breaks, and the anniversary event.
A guided tour of the PWT laboratories at TU Berlin will be offered.
On October 5, 2026 a PhD workshop will be organized by the djR.

Publishing
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary, we are collaborating with De Gruyter Brill on a peer‑reviewed Special Collection. In this context, there will also be a poster prize endowed with 1,000 €. Moreover, contributors will have the opportunity to publish either as Open Access or as a free contribution. Further information will follow.
